Episode 24: You Spin Me Right Round

Work! Lots of it! Trips to Boston, Linden, NJ, Conshohocken, PA(Philly), Boston, Maine whew! MN is coming very soon! Dress taken to Seamstress... lots of taking in to do! WOOOHOOO!!!

Enroute:

NOTHING TIL THE BLANKET IS DONE!!! But so much after that! (already plotting)

Ground Stop:

Dropped a stitch on the blanket, fixed it luckily(5 rows later), My Honey's Birthday week extravaganza took up most of my week! and some working!

Holding:

Finished the Highland Handmades Cherry Blossom 8 oz plied soaked and skeined is 575 yds! I'm pretty happy with that as my first handspun on my wheel! it is going to become Lala's Simple Shawl!

Finished spinning 4 oz of Highland Handmades Falkland in Candy Corn. Am going to try and navajo ply that this week. Have never done it on a wheel, so we'll see!

Also Started on more Highland Handmades(think I have a problem?) SW Merino/Tencel in Poetic

KnitterCNY(on Rav): http://clickforbabies.org/ Maine is a part of the Click for Babies campaign. little baby hats knit in purple or mostly purple to raise awareness for Shaken Baby Syndrome. The hats should be at least 50% purple and made for preemies to normal sized newborns. I will be collecting them until the 15th of October so they can be sent to the local Hospital for distribution during the month of November. I will be doing a raffle of some kind that each hat will get you an entry... and I'm coming up with prizes... still working on that!

Mother Bear KAL: Doing 2 drawings! received another pattern from Katie at Noteable Needlework, so 2 People will be winners!!! Thanks for the support and the knitting will commence on Sept. 2! Spun up the 1st 4 oz of Highland Handmades Cherry Blossom and will hopefully finish the second 4 oz so I can ply them for next week.

Computer disaster! NOOOooooo!

Hi everyone!

I have so much i want to share with you this week. But it will have to wait. I had my laptop crash this morning. I think its the same problem it had last year, which was major repairs. OI!! So i am going to try and record tomorrow and see if i can find somewhere to upload it from! But just wanted you all to know what was up! Please stay tuned!!
