Episode 34: Cool Stuff is a Comin' your way



Jetsetting:

Work back and forth to Boston, big jetsetting to PHL and TEB, then off to Knittin' in the Mitten in Michigan hosted by CoggieTM. Will be arriving late, but will get there! Work is still just crazy nuts.

Some stripy socks in Vesper "Smoke On The Water" for Knittin' in the Mitten, need some mindless knitting for all the yakking I'm gonna do. My honey picked the yarn

Been busy on sock and baby hats and finishing the honey hat! 

Holding:


Finished the Merino/Tencel in Peotic from Highland Handmades
Need to ply it, but there is no more fiber left!

Delivered 163 baby hats to the distribution center.  Next year I will email you the labels... that was a lot of labels! I am floored by the amount of hats I got. I was hoping for 30 or so.. you all blew me away!


Donations of towels and blankets to D.E.W. Wild Kingdom. We WILL reimburse you for shipping. Can be old, miscolored, stained. But PLEASE make sure they are clean. Dirty laundry is not fun to get as a donation.


Knittin' In The Mitten: Nov. 3-6th. I will arrive on Friday morning super early! Got an awesome ride to the retreat and I totally fan girled her. I had no shame. OH BOY! haha, she is a good sport. So pumped for my FIRST retreat! WOOT! I am gonna meet some awesome people! Be prepared for clips through out the weekend on my youtube channel: for the podcast!

Work has been so Psychotic!   HUGE ups and downs! So crazy! I got a raise, spoke about the busy-ness of the schedule. Then when I asked about the retreat days off, my boss had totally forgot about it, but it's going to work out almost perfect! :)

Episode 33: So Many Things To Talk About



Jetsetting:

Work has been crazy: Wednesday last week: RKD BED BST HVN SYR BST BED.  Overnighted in Bedford, MA. Thursday: BED BWI TEB BED SYR TEB HVN.  There I got out and drove 2.5 hrs to BOS to meet up with the honey to catch our flight. Saw old friends in MSP, went to a rockin' wedding, split and stacked some wood for my mom... busy weekend!  Next month will be Crazy for work!!  Knittin' in the Mitten is the first weekend of November and I will be arriving a little late.  Actually very early in the morning, but later then most!

I'm loose.   I mean I'm a loose knitter so the test knit and the Ambroso mittens had numerous attempts at getting gauge.  But it's finally figured out.

nothing, but need to get the merino/tencel done and plied so I can have the bobbins for Knittin' In The Mitten

OMG HATS! I will post a picture at some point of the pile of hats I have already.  Thank you for all your patience as I struggle through my first charity drive. All hats are accounted for, just have grown legs and moved around! Thank you to everyone.  Drawing will be done next time and I'll try to get more organized!

Episode32: HOLY COW!

Work has been crazy and getting worse, MN trip from madness next week. Sad news from the airport.

Not really much: been very productive, but not nearly enough. need to finish project bags, tree skirt, blanket and hats ASAP! EEEeeekkkk!!!! Ambroso project has been frogged twice.

*head hanging in shame*  None... again!

Reservations:

We won the KAL prize (HH fiber, how ironic)  We took second with the bears.  We had 50, and Knitabulls edged us with 66... but we ended up with more then 250 bears for the Mother Bear Project! YOU ALL ROCK!  Working on finishing making bags for the prizes... sorry!!  They are coming!

I got a donation from allison1031. Thanks so much for thinking of me... it will be used for shipping of prizes! :)

PURPLE HATS: Holy crap! they are pouring in! summerieday(April), tgknits(trish), crojulee(jullee) 14 hats, hishandmade(Dianna) came in this week!

Ambroso KAL with Erin at Mommy Needs Yarn... I have cast on, and so many people are tearing through it! I can't wait to get mine rocking along! Sarah at Apple Blossom and More has donated 3 patterns from her shop as prizes for those who KAL with me during October! Thanks so much for the donation. she has great patterns and the charts are fantastic! perfectly sized! gotta find some yarn for the shawl!

Sarah at the Rainlover Podcast - Has a sock pattern - Ribbons for Mom - that has all proceeds going to breast cancer research. The donations will go on forever, as long as the pattern is up.  She has close family that has battled Breast Cancer and this is her response... what a way to give back.

Finally back to work, super busy week coming up, knitting to also get done, Traveling in 10 days for cousins wedding. Airplane news :( sad stuff.  May also be teaching a certain person how to waltz for the upcoming wedding! Dancing in the hangar! It was awesome!
