Episode 18: Training Reigns

Babble about travel, building stuff, training, Orlando, and some knitting progress!

Frolic was awesome, built a shed, Almost done with the shed but need a door, Honey has worked his tail off to finish it! Last week of work at Cape Air. Was very emotional, but found out after the fact that they are going to allow me to work part time! :) YEA! Traveled to Orlando for training at SimCom. Bad weather, (awesome), ended up driving instead of flying, jetblue flight was uneventful, checked into the best western and hated it, checked out and went to the holiday inn express... SO HAPPY! quick internet, friendly people, good breakfast.  I'm all about the breakfast. Training was a hoot. Shopped for uniforms! Love outlet malls! Leaving tomorrow in a Pilatus, cancelling my Jetblue tix! woot! Will get me home much earlier, will just drive to Boston from New Bedford. Very excited to start work on Monday. Work Surprise! (week off)

  1. I can one-up your poor experience at a Best Western. I got stuck in a bathroom (door was jammed shut) in a nightgown and without my glasses or contacts. Fortunately my boyfriend at the time was there and was able to call the front desk to have someone come. They lied about someone being on-site to help (took forever!). The guy who came had to take the door off the hinges to get me out. The desk clerk the next morning (who happened to be the same person when we checked in the prior day) did not apologize or sympathize and said we would have to call back later to speak to a manager. She was a total b*tch!
