Episode 15: Many Misadventures


The exploits of trying to get a plane to Maine and some knitting thrown in!

Jetsetting:

Trying to nonrev to MN, ended up buying tickets, delays out of Chicago, late arrival into MSP, Went flying with my brother, watched his baseball game, went to Grandparents in the morning, took dad flying, left for Morris, IL, Changed next arrival to Kendallville, Indiana.  Great people there and left plane there to be safe in a hangar.  Hoping to get her home this weekend.  More jetsetting to come.


Enroute:

La Vie Socks, Heidi's blanket


Landed:

Sheldon Blanket, FLS has buttons and has been worn!



Take Off:

Not much, gotta finish the blanket.

Ground Stop:

 Vacation: I deplurked, de-rav'ed, de facebooked and it was nice.

Holding:

Finishing plying my Knit Girllls spin a long fiber.  Update: 165 yards of a worsted-ish weight. I have not WIP tool, so I'm not sure!

Episode 13: TRAVEL MADNESS


Lots of crazy traveling, knitting, a finished object and chatter!!
Jetsetting:

WX WAS AWFUL!!  8 in 24 issues, turbulent, lots of cancellations Thursday, stranded in BOS, flew to MN early, no bags!, sister time, dress shopping success! See picture below! Back to BOS, drove to Maine! 

Enroute:

Dishcloths-maybe.  baby hats-hoping to do a few.  Just so many things have popped into my head.

Nice outside, other things (sorry can't spill the beans yet)

Holding: 

Finished my Knit Girllls Spin A Long fiber.  4 oz done, spun 2 oz just today!  Will try to ply tomorrow if I have time.

Twisted Limone, and I fell off the truck and ordered some String Theory(how dare they update on a payday) Turbulence and safety, MDSW- see the ravelry thread.  I will be there Friday night, Sat and Sunday.  Sunday 12-5p at the Wild Fibers Booth.  But you all know what I look like and I'll figure out what I'm wearing Saturday and let everyone know!

Episode 11

Welcome back!  Episode 11 for your viewing pleasure!




Jet setting:

Weekend was awesome, Long weekend with Honey home really enjoying the lack of travel... too bad for you guys though!, Car shopping on Monday! New car! 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.  Old Acura was blowing a head gasket which was going to cost $2500... not worth it for a 16 year old car!  Work has been insane: Tuesday was beautiful, Wednesday was a mess: Severe weather in the Northeast, cancelled a round trip, sat around, cancelled the last trip!  Great for me to get off early, lots of knitting time, but awful for my pax.  Flights were crazy full on thursday, but good!  Friday was awesome!

Episode 5: More Travel then Knitting

Welcome to Episode 5: More Travel then Knitting



Jetsetting:

Hello Mother Nature!!  Canceled all flights on Friday and we drove to Boston after a 14 hour work day, got locked out of ops room, had to sleep in the car in the parking garage, caught 6 am out of BOS before nasty part of storm showed up.  Had lunch, made our connection! yea!

Spent the day over in Corpus Christi, USS Lexington Aircraft Carrier(yea me), dinner at Texas Roadhouse, my favorite!

Drove 3 hours to SAT, got lost trying to return rental car, checked in, LGK had a great day at the checkpoint, Got to ORD with no seat as the flight was overbooked,(ugh first time I pay for a ticket in 10 years and I still have no seat until 2 minutes to flight time) but made it!!! YEA!!  Got to BOS, all flights canceled home, had to get a rental car and drive all the way back to Maine... what a whirlwind!

Not mentioned, but I'd like to do a longer podcast... there is so much I wanted to mention.  i really want to talk about the people who helped me start podcasting, the awesome video casts that make me laugh, the new knitting toys I bought this week, netflix, books, etc.  I am going to work on splitting my podcast and will practice before next weeks podcast.  I still want to upload to youtube and itunes... So that will be coming!

Work: loved snow days time to relax, Work was frustrating and ended up in another town last night due to weather, but breaks coming tomorrow, so yea!
