It’s a really neat experience where each participant gets a balloon with a light inside of it and the balloons are different colors based on if you’re walking in memory of someone, fighting the disease currently, or a survivor. It’s held in the evening and you literally light the night. I’m doing this in memory of my mom who died from Leukemia and I was hoping you would mention it on your podcast. • Went up north for last week.  2 super hot days then right back to nothing. 
• Ran on first hot day and didn't plan for extreme elevation. Yikes
• Ran a nice trail along river, good pace. 
• Macy's issue... not a happy girl: shipping ugh.
• Honey had tonsillitis, came home early. 
• Sat - Zumba. Very fun, but very expensive around here. 
• Stalked my USPS carrier and got my ring. Honey asked me again! cried all over again!
• Saw in-laws, ceviche
• Sun - 40:19 5k.... just gotta keep plugging. Had to cab to AUG for work
• Mon- more fog
• Tues-GREAT run. 38:55 in a 5k!!!  SO Excited! Went back to previous runs paces... 39:10 in the RKD race!
• Future: MN this weekend for wedding location shopping.

Episode 116: ENGAGED!!!

• thurs- Honey time, then got  a ride in the Stearman. Was the highlight of my week until... 
• Friday - Honey came home a day early! Woohoo! Laid in Hammock, Looked for a humminbird feeder at Lowes/Walmart, got ice cream and then went to hike Beech Nut Preserve.  Family and friends at the top and engaged!
• Sat- worked at 430! boohiss! Got cape air and coworker to cover my 2nd roundtrip. Went flying with mom, went to the Summer Solstice party. Ran 5k, not well marked or organzied, 3.2 miles... again, NOT a 5k! 3.109... or 3.11 if you want to round up... 
• Sun- work, mom to AUG early! met her in BOS. Drove to BGR to size ring... Epic fail Macy's... fail! Dinner at Roadhouse
• Mon - so tired! so much excitement!!!  and HUMID!
• Tuesday - Running, HUMID 90!

• Just flew around on Monday. 
• Work was uneventful until Wed night. Last 3 14 hour days of the winter schedule. Fogged out of RKD. Ended up having to get rental car and drive 15 miles to a hotel. Harvard/BU grad's no hotels in city! Crazy! 15 hour day Wed. but only 12.5 on Thursday. 
• Friday was first day of summer sched... just felt like a long Friday!
• Saturday - Fiber Frolic!! Got up there early, hottest day of year, 95! thank goodness for the breeze. Had a hang out canopy. jamlknitter, kathy, mainelyknit, pennywenny(wendy knit1hearttoo), Lori(happy crafter 207 podcast) was vending, neverenoughthymekatie and her mom and son, and I know I've forgot a few people... sorry!  missed a few people when wandering around.
• Sunday - cleaned out the hangar, errands, getting stuff done around the house.

• Sunday - Maine maple sunday. Drove to Chandler's Sugar Shack.  Met Bobby Jr, one of the owner/operators. Gave us a tour and had some samples, bought some maple candy and maple cotton candy!
• Work - Typical stuff. Went to ACK one day, ACK ACK... no likey. Soup travesty on Wed. Spring cleaning in the pilot room due to spillage. 
• Super awesome hockey weekend. SCSU going to Pittsburgh for our first Frozen Four. Hoping to get off work and head to Pittsburgh for a couple days.
• Home for Anniversary party and bro's baseball game last weekend in April, GGPL in May. Then into fun relaxing summer schedule!!

Episode 102: Is This a Knitting Podcast?!?!

Episode 101: All Vacation!

Jetsetting:

• Sunday: Travel Day! Super easy! Made first flight! Car rental was weird, couldn't climb the huge hills, couldn't find driveway, no addresses. took car back.  Floor it til she kicks! really? Found hill assist. Helped! Driveway was STUPID steep. Seriously.  Got groceries, nothing open after 5 on Sunday, had a ham sandwich.
• Monday: Went to beach, Brewer Bay. 8 - noon. Got sunburnt. Tried to paddleboard on inflatable. Much harder then normal paddleboard. Went to airport to get maps, saw some old friends. Headed to Bolongo Bay and Iggie's Beach Bar for lunch. Food was eh, but view was awesome. Painkiller and Rum Punch. Dinner at the Green House. SO GOOD! Bush wacker, bahama momma, bums and good service
• Tuesday: Packed up to go camping. Very rainy day. Headed for the ferry to St. John. Got on right away, was pretty chilly. Andrea from Survivor was on our boat, and we couldn't place her until later. Also saw her at LA Tapa. Found the Campground. Very pretty even in the rain. Got our campsite: 37. Walked all the way down... Not amused. Honey went and got us a new spot. 33. Went down to the beach. HUGE waves. Very abnormal. Went shopping in town and found souvenirs. Hung out on beach and knit, while honey took in the scenery. Back to town for Dinner at LA Tapa. Very expensive, and I felt like I was on Top Chef. Confit, blah blah... But it was SO Darn good!!! Very very good service. Bartender lived in Maine. Worked on A catamaran based off the coast near me. For Chellie Pingree's Husband. Small world. Went back and slept!
• Wednesday: Got up, packed up, went down to beach. We waited for the Beach sports building to open. 10 am in cruzan time. Rented a Hobie Cat. 16' sailboat. My first real sailing experience. IT WAS AWESOME! Headed back to the boat. Picked up my first hitchhikers on the island... twice! Went back to STT. Looked at flights and weather, packed up and headed for SJU. Just missed the 742pm BOS flight. Chatted with a really awesome B6 gate agent. Napped in the crew room. 
• Thursday: Headed up at 145 am for the 310 am departure. Left on time, watched 2 movies, arrived at the beginning of the snowstorm, picked up rental car, drove home... stopped and had breakfast at Moody's. Got home, said hi to kitties, returned rental car and promplty passed out for 4 hours! 
• Friday: laundry laid low... still very tired. Both of us fighting off something.
• Saturday: laid low, was really nice to be able to relax. Weather in BOS/MA was awful but we didn't get anything in Maine. Went to Honey's sister and nephew's for tacos and nephews bday. 
• Sunday: Honey feeling under the weather, napped. i organized my books. Went to Mr. Wat for my bday dinner. And got groceries for my work week. 
• Monday: finished with chores and watched movies and organized. 
• Upcoming: WIA in Nashville. Arrive Friday night, Leave Sunday early am.

Episode 99: Buckle In!

• Been a slow recovery. very tired all week and low energy.

Episode 97: Welcome to Season 3!

Jetsetting:

• Worked Tues and Wed, heather trapped at house with Carpet dudes, ALL DAY! Just took forever. 
• Cancelled on Wed due to high wind and wind shear with the storm approaching, wild approach and then cx'd. drove up to Milo, and spent all night packing and cleaning. 
• Thurs - we finished packing(in the windy, pouring rain) drove, trees down everywhere. will put a video at end with the sound of the howling wind. 45 mph at surface, 60 at 3000', and 80+ at 6000'
• Friday - Work, Heather came down and we sat and chatted... spoke about recording and decided we would record our day on Saturday.
• Saturday - Shred Level 3. Did the easier versions and did ok. Then went to SPA knit and spin in Freeport, Maine. WAS SO FUN! knitterphreek, pat, wendy, 4kittieshavei, jamlknitter, heather and I. I also met up with Sheepish1 and she gave me chocolates! Also met with VTknitboy and got a picture for my buddy, RJ, of myself and his lamb, Lot.

Episode 96: The Sweater Bet

Episode 95: All over the place!

Jetsetting:

• Snowed out until the last round trip on Wednesday, rest of week uneventful except for the wonderful welcome home to a fallen soldier, video at end of 'cast. 
• Friday: Heather came down to visit, we had Thai food - delicious, went to a cheerleading comp, stayed up late: watching random tv stuff, Heather was getting the update ready and yapping into the wee hours. 
• Saturday: Shredded(hard), did test dyes for my socks, she had a meeting with OTR(which seems to have gone well), I ran errands and prepped a delicious dinner for my honey for his coming home from work!
• Sunday: Football day.  Very sad about the Pats, just didn't seem right somehow and no fines for all the head to head hits from the game. 
• Monday: Went on a cleaning laundry binge, went flying and visited Honey's sister and nephew, gave him his first flight lesson, flew back to RKD and then got stuck in the plane! Had to call another plane to come and let us out. 
• Loss in our family :(
• Ran errands today and now doing this!

Episode 94: The Great Flyin' West Giveaway!!

• Thurs was very bumpy in the morning. Went to RUT in the afternoon and the winds finally calmed down! Whew
• Fri was beautiful.  Also found out I will be getting a new RKD pilot as the other one is running for the Caribbean!! 
• Nasty weather tomorrow... not sure what that is going to hold! short work week for me and a long weekend after! :) I love it! I'm so glad that the other pilot was flexible and we were able to work with each other and be flexible in our schedules... it really makes being in an out station easier, since there are only two of us in these small stations.
• Sushi with my Honey last night. He is gone for the week for work. Flt was out of AUG and DFW flight was cancelled and I got it all fixed almost before he even landed in BOS! I love understanding this industry and having people on my side that can help me!
• SPA in 2 weeks, CJ Kopec retreat in May, KITM in Nov, Maybe Rhinebeck... if weather is great, might do a day trip in Wendy.

Episode 92: Bring on 2013!

Jetsetting:

• Worked Wednesday, off thursday due to Blizzard(honey drove in blizzard), Worked Friday. Was a mess friday. Runways were glare ice. cx's first trip and then flew the last 4 legs back to back. 
• Saturday another storm moved in. Honey had to drive home in the heart of the storm. 5 hours each night, way worse on Saturday then forecast. 8" for us down here. Gonna be cold this week.
• watched football and knit and spun on Sunday. Honey went to take a nap... Vikings had awesome drive with 2 min remaining and AP was trying to break the record and I was jumping up and down and screaming and my poor honey thought I was hurt... He was NOT impressed... 
• Monday headed north to Milo for NYE. Went to Chinese with Heather, Paul and my honey. We came back and watched Brave and then played some Cards Against Humanity! SO FUN! It was nice to stay home and have a few drinks and not drive. Paul was the DD for himself and Heather, so they got home safely. 
• Tuesday got honey a new phone from Walmart, crazy apple deals. Came home and doing this!

Episode 88: Christmas Has Arrived!

Jetsetting:

• Worked Wed, Thurs, and half Friday. Bank, ran errands, said Hi at LYS.  Felt like Norm!  I walked in and heard, "Katie O"  It was cool.  Might use Christmas money to join the Knit Happy club.  Party each month, discounts the day of the party, etc. Only $10 a month. 
• Worked Saturday: totally sucked. Snowed all day, had to deice numerous times, and I knew it was all gonna melt over night as the warm weather moved in... totally fruitless!
• Sunday: snow is all gone, Had bfast in bed, relaxed, watched football, saw the tree, the hot chocolate, had a horse drawn carriage ride, missed the carolers. Baked Sugar Cookies.
• Monday: Rough overnight, slept in a bit til about 8 due to not sleeping from 2-5 am. ran errands, ordered fleece lined pants for work, bought long johns, christmas stuff and decorated the outside of the house!
• Upcoming: Hoping to see Heather soon, Still watching for tickets to MN for Christmas. Ugh... Don't want to Non-rev... too full and too crazy.

Episode 81: Bringing It Home

Episode 78: Shred It Up

Too many of my podcaster friends have been attacked over the last few years and I'm just sick of it. Constructive Criticism is one thing, being a mean nasty hateful person is not allowed. If you don't like me, then don't watch me. But you don't have to attack me.  And that goes for all my friends.  If I ever find out who is being hateful to my podcaster friends, I will call you out by name. Do you think I'm kidding?

Episode 76: Great Week!!

Jetsetting:

• Worked around the house last week, Wx wasn't great so no flying after camping.
• Huge fly in in Greenville the next weekend, honey went with our friend, Rick. (I was working)
• Work was turbulent. Huge cold front blew through, dropped the humidty, but the wind associated with it was nasty. Monday was nice but Sunday was crap.
• Honey picked me up Tuesday, went flying Flew to Greenville and did some landings, beautiful up there!
• Got BIG work news!!  BACK TO RKD!!! SO HAPPY!!! Transition date on Friday
• Honey replaced another window, while I did household stuff and then ripped up the carpet in our entry way. Went running, best average ever 11:54 min/mile. No race for me this weekend :( hoping to get some later this month with Heather.
• Today we put down the flooring, honey did the intricate stuff, did the laundry, made cookies, went flying to Old Town to get gas, wound off my spinning

Episode 75: Vacation!!!

Jetsetting:

• Trip to Rockland for Chiro and to deliver HH to Over The Rainbow Yarn shop
• Lots of Wendy flying this week. Honey is doing great in flight training. 
• Camping at North Country Rivers: Flew plane up, gave a ride, flew Heather and I home. Our honey's were nice enough to drive the gear back! It was SO FUN! I think we all had a great time! Honey got slightly wounded from some boiling water, but his foot is healing.
• Still waiting on more news regarding work situation
• Worked on projects around the house
• Enjoyed the time with honey

• Bus Driver was a Loud Headset fiend! Stopped the bus to find the culprit!!

• Party at my landlord's: good food and done early!
• They added a round trip on Sunday... long day with no break!
• Was denied my vacation slide on Sunday
• Found out I may not be back in Maine until October... very sad and hearbroken

• Hung with Heather and Helped her out, went to dinner with her and Paul and my honey and I
• Found out vacation slide was APPROVED! Thanks to those that made it happen!
• Flying on Thursday! Flew Wendy through our first rain storm! :) Kinda bumpy!

• Went to meet Lois (knittingsmybag) in Dexter with Heather on Wednesday! SO MUCH FUN!! She is so wonderful, I got a present! WOOT!
• Unexpected trip to Bangor with Heather. Huge accident on way back and we drove through Deliverence to get home! scary!
• No Wendy love this week... Weather was NOT cooperative.
